Discord

Your server status, live in your Discord channel

Your community already hangs out on Discord, so that's where they look when something is down. Statusvane keeps one status message in your channel up to date, and posts incident, maintenance and alert updates next to it. No bot to invite and no permissions to grant: it uses a channel webhook.

What you get

What shows up in your channel

Connect a channel webhook once, then choose what gets posted.

A live status message

One message lists every component's status, with players online and version for game servers, plus ongoing incidents. It is edited in place within about a minute of a change.

A status card image

The message can carry an image of your components and their uptime bars, in a dark or light style, so it reads well in any Discord theme.

Incident updates

When you declare, update or resolve an incident, the update is posted to the channel as its own message, linking to the full incident page.

Maintenance notices

Scheduled maintenance is announced in the channel as soon as you plan it, and the live message shows it while it runs, so players know a restart is coming.

Monitor alerts for staff

Point a second webhook at a staff channel to get confirmed down and recovery alerts, with a one-click acknowledge link.

Resilient by design

If someone deletes the message, a fresh one is posted. Discord's rate limits are respected, and you can repost the message at the bottom of the channel at any time.

How it works

Set up in a couple of minutes

  1. 1

    Add your servers

Enter your website or game server address. We detect the right check and create the components.

  2. 2

    Create a webhook in Discord

In your channel settings, under Integrations, create a webhook and copy its URL.

  3. 3

    Paste it into Alerting

Add a Discord integration, turn on the live status message, pick the events to post, then pin the message.

FAQ

Discord questions

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Get in touch.

Is this a Discord bot I need to invite?
No. It works with a standard channel webhook, so there's no bot account, no OAuth and no extra permissions on your server.
How quickly does the message update?
The live message is edited within about a minute of a change in component status, players or incidents.
Can I post to several channels?
Yes. Add one Discord integration per channel, for example a public status channel with the live message and a staff channel for alerts.
What if the status page is private?
The status card image is only attached for public pages. Private pages fall back to a plain text list in the message.
